    Abstract

ANTIDOTE 6: TAKING TIME is a collaborative art project directed by (artist/professor) Teemu Ma¨ki & (curator/professor) Nora Sternfeld. The theme of the project is how time is used, governed and battled about in consumer capitalist society. Ma¨ki & Sternfeld invite eight persons (students, artists, dancers, choreographers, scenographers, curators) to focus on this common theme, to take time together, have debates, encounters etc. and to think about forms of (counter-)production with an open outcome. The opening of the Project took place in an empty space in which the artists and actors had the opportunity to take time together. The results of the encounters are presented publicly two weeks later. The themes & tags: Time. Free time. Time sold, bought and stolen. Precarious labor. Consumerism. Counter-Production, Occupying Space and Time, Mortality. Self-empowerment through taking the use of one's time into one's own hands...
