Abstract
An account is given on several mechanisms to do quality differentiation and related classification of traffic to different classes. These mechanisms are all applicable in real world to do their tasks, some perform better in environment aimed to offer certain type of service than other. As a result of observations, it is concluded that application based quality differentiation is readily implementable and mechanisms to do classification are very well implementable with todays technology.
