Abstract

The paper provides an overview of possible Electricity Corporate Communities to emerge depending on following generations: Generation X (born 1965-1976), Generation Y (born 1977-1995) and Generation Z (born 1996-current time). Two other types, Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) and Traditionalists Generation (born 1945 and before) were excluded from study case. The reason lies in the selected areas where the working generation's age is younger than age of 55 years. The aim of the study results from the author's previous paper titled 'Standalone Electrical Storages as part of the Network System in Metropolitan Area in Finland.' In the current study, the areas are the same as in the mentioned paper: Pasila-Vallilla-Sörnäinen-Kalasatama (Helsinki), Keilaniemi-Otaniemi-Tapiola-Niittykumpu-Olari-Matinkylä (Espoo), and Aviapolis (Vantaa). The author formed a concept suitable for all three mentioned above generations relying on a conducted survey and various existing studies on consumer behavior of generation types. The author expected the result to confirm that the preferences, even in the energy field, are also subject to consumer behavior of generation types.
