Abstract

Strong exciton-photon coupling offers an effective path for polariton-mediated long-distance coherent energy transfer (ET) between excitonic states. Here, we demonstrate strong coupling between excitons in WS2 monolayers, MoS2 bilayer, and photons in a tunable optical microcavity at room temperature. Full quantum dynamics simulations based on experimental parameters show that the demonstrated system provides an efficient and adjustable platform for ultrafast polariton-assisted ET between the excitons in two-dimensional materials when the separation between them exceeds 1μm.
