Abstract

The variety of materials in connection with today’s electromagnetics applications is very large. The research activities during the past decades on complex media and metamaterials have expanded the dimensions of the space with which the media are characterized by material parameters. A dielectric constant is no longer sufficient to describe the response of a given sample of complex medium.
