Abstract
What Donald Weber' wants you to know about his 10(X) book:
"In the late 60’s my father was in a band, One Way Children.
There's a photograph of him, standing alone in a full-length fur coat.
He is holding a guitar, cigarette drooping from his mouth.
I thought he looked very cool. A different side to him, from a time before my time.
The picture gave him an otherworldly humanity, a stranger's life beyond the ordinary man I simply called ‘dad.’
You could say that’s what this book is about.
It shows a time away from my time.
A representation of what I value, and try to find, beyond my professional obligations:
Something cool, something else, something uniquely human."
Donald Weber is somebody who's curious. And who thinks photography is a good way to explore that curiosity.
