Abstract

This article develops a method for the interactive analysis of fuzzy pairwise comparisons in hierarchical weighting models. In the proposed method, fuzzy ratios of relative importance are employed as constraints on the membership values of local priorities so that fuzzy weights for the alternatives can be computed through linear programming. Moreover, graph displays of fuzzy relations are used as a means of illustrating the dominance implications of the specified statements.
