Now/Next Performance Space at the Crossroads was an international exhibition curated and designed for the Architecture Section at the 2011 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design & Space (PQ): a 4-yearly global exposition on scenography and theatre architecture. It was located in the ancient, deconsecrated church of St Annes renovated as the Prague Crossroads: an event-space for global cross-cultural dialogue. NOW/NEXT displayed exhibits from 32 countries in the NATIONAL EXHIBITION, projected moving images of cutting-edge designs in the MEDIA TOWER and drew together major designers and thinkers to share projects and provoke new approaches in the OPEN SPATIAL LABORATORY which asked: How might spatial artists and architects imagine spaces or scenarios capable of transforming and re-inspiring public interest in watching live performance?
