Abstract

This is a summary report of the design and implementation procedure of a special kind of variable speed drive. This drive can control any type of electric motors (synchronous, Asynchronous, DC, BLDC, PMSM, and SR) with a maximum of 7 phases and up to 500kW. Different control algorithms (with real feedback sensor or sensorless) are embedded in it for different applications and situations. This project has lots of details, and so many tasks have been done in it. Only some technical aspects of the implementation phase have been presented here.
