Abstract

We define multimode (entangled) coherent states as properly chosen linear super positions of suitable composition states. Our definition is equivalent to the definition of coherent states as eigenvectors of a corresponding generalized annihilation operator. In certain limit cases we discuss the statistical properties of the states defined.
