The essays discusses and critically addresses the authors own film work in the light of Rancièrean radical notion of equality as the given rather than something which is donated in relation to the expectations and conventions stemming from the tradition of social documentary film. What could be the radical notion of "poetic" in cinema as a rupture in relation to the notions "tolerating" and "emancipating".
