Abstract

Membrane structures and in special Minimal Surfaces fascinate by their unity of structure and complex geometry. When it comes to wide span projects theses structures often represent the best choice. Regarding today`s fluent and free form architecture their world of forms could also enrich the design of our inhabited spaces. This paper presents as part of a comprehensive research on Minimal Surfaces in architecture the results of Minimal-Surface-Tconnections and reveals new correlations and rules between Minimal Surface and boundary conditions. Case studies can give an idea of the manifold architectural possibilities when "soft" is meeting "hard" morphology.
