Abstract

The linewidth variations of a grating-cavity laser were measured and studied. The study showed dependence of the linewidth on the fine-tuning of the grating dispersion curve relative to the external cavity modes. The variations obtained were of the order of 100 kHz while tuning the laser frequency.
