Abstract
This paper proposes a photovoltaic array system connected to converter and battery A backstepping controller is designed for maximizing the output power of the system The controller reduces the error between the desired array voltage, to the obtained voltage under varying temperature and radiation condition by maximum power point tracking, by changing the duty cycle of the switching converter. The stability of the backstepping control is analyzed by means of Lyapunov analysis. The result of simulation clearly illustrates that the designed backstepping control algorithm can be used for improving the output voltage under external parameter variation.
