Abstract
The phenomenon called 'Scientific Revolution' is dated to 16th and 17th century in early modern Europe. Popular ideas give the impression that the starting point was the emancipation from religion that began during the Renaissance. The breakthrough was finalized by the victory march of reason of Enlightenment. Was this really the case?
