Abstract
This chapter explores the use of descriptive texts in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), focusing on the linguistic analysis of student-produced texts. The authors, Sara Pérez Arroyo and Kris Buyse, examine the fossilized errors that commonly appear in this type of writing, identifying recurrent patterns and difficulties based on a textual corpus of student work. These errors are analyzed in depth to understand their origins and frequency in Spanish language acquisition.
In conclusion, the chapter offers a series of didactic proposals designed to energize the written production of descriptions in ELE classrooms, aimed at helping students overcome fossilized errors and enhance their skills in creating descriptive texts.
