Abstract
Following the recent conversation on "the switch" in EU policy regarding Open Educational Resources "from infrastructure and connectivity to content, services and practical usage" [1], the present paper reflects on the Open Educational Practice that investigates pedagogical value and potential of Open Source Freeware to create Open Educational Resources, such as an open electronic book, for the global community of learners. The paper provides insights into how Open Educational Resources can be used, created and re-purposed with focus on creative use of technology to benefit both teaching and learning in higher education classroom.
