Leaky Light - with new works added

Artist and researcher Bartaku’s works are often inspired by his long-standing fascination with berryapple Aronia melanocarpa - or Baroa belaobara, as Bartaku senses that the plant would wish to be named.
Leaky Light exhibition at SOLU Space consists of a selection of Bartaku’s recent mixed-media installations featuring sound art, ceramics, symbiont bacteria, as well as video, photo and text documentations.
The works on display shed light on Bartaku’s deepening entanglement with Baroa, which is also the focus of his Doctoral studies at the Department of Arts, Design and Architecture of Aalto University, Helsinki. The constellation is part of Bartaku’s ongoing artistic research on light, energy and bodies.
Two works are shown for the first time in Finland. One evolves since its first public momentum at Pixelache 2016.
