Abstract

In this article, we are treated to wonder. Through experiences ranging from Norway to China, Arne Carlsen, Jan Ketil Arnulf, and Zhao Weitao host organisational scholars in a journey of discovery, creation, mystery, and arousal. We meet with a taxi driver, an architect, a journalist, and also encounter insistent questions exposing North Sea oil reserves. We hear students' perspectives. The stories told draw parallels between Western philosophy and the East Asia philosophy of Daoism in understanding the everyday potential of wonder as an igniting force in organisational life.
