The perpetual coherent orbital circulation of the Cooper pairs in superfluid 3HeA results in a novel, purely quantum-mechanical phenomenon, in which the orbital angular momentum of the condensate is being transferred into the linear momentum of a tiny object - such as a negative ion - moving in 3HeA.
