Abstract

Inspiration from Embodied Memories' is an interesting exhibition of an artistic experiment between Finnish ceramic artist, Priska Falin, and Korean metal craftsperson, Yuri Na, and the narratives beyond their works. The two artists chose the motivation for their works from two ordinary women who had lived at a similar time, in Finland and Switzerland. Bringing the stories of two women whom the two artists never met, based on oral stories and letters from mother (and mother-in-law), they interpreted the two women's lives and created pieces with their artistic imagination.
