Abstract

Extensive ethnographic research and careful consideration of various socio-cultural aspects while designing information transactions.

Information Design of Census Data collection process led to critical design intervention. The designs were successfully implemented in census of India 2011; it created an impact through enhanced quality of data, saving time, optimised cost, quicker dissemination of census results. Same designs are being used with updates in content for Census of India 2021.
