Abstract

Common Data Environments (CDE) are seen as the next steps towards a truly open, accessible and interoperable BIM. Information Containers form the core of component based on which CDEs store, manage, exchange and process data with stakeholders in a project. While specifications for information containers have gradually evolved with progressive standards, the recently introduced ISO 21597 standard for Information Containers for linked Document Delivery contains specifications for accommodating linked building data management. Since this standard is intended for file-based information exchange, in this paper we explore the implementation of ICDD using two web-based CDEs (OpenCDE API and Linked Data Platform).
