Abstract

Like a natural entity, the weather is a GIFT, and we aim to approach it as an embodied resonance. This sound becomes a resonant connection with their audience by touching a visual representation of a spiral instrument. By interacting, the audience connects with the principles of the ancient instrument known as Tubo Cochleato (by Athanasius Kircher).
Using weather sensors we create a generative sound composition that is experienced as an Embodied Listening. This piece becomes a GIFT to listeners who encounter a sonic translation of the atmosphere within the confined interiors of this room.
