Abstract

Design for a Cooler Planet. Marsio.

Future visions in fashion showcases graduate students’ collections and projects, offering fresh perspectives that transcend current trends and highlight fashion as a research- and knowledge-driven discipline.

By involving children in the design process, creating a collection without prototypes, utilising clothes stuck in-between and drawing from the interface of two worlds, students have explored and bent the current norms, each in their own way.

The works on display highlight an often-overlooked aspect of fashion: its ability to explore and reflect the surrounding world and society, to imagine and realise alternatives – and to evoke new ways of thinking.
