Abstract
“Food Reflections” exhibition contains of installations combining visual communication, typography and different aspects of food. All installations are made with using food ingredients to add meaning and flavour into conceptual ideas they are communicating. Come and experience to create your own interpretations. This exhibition is part of Helsinki Design Week Program (2016).

MASTER / PIECE – FOOD DESIGN WORKSHOP
In the MASTER / PIECE Food Design workshop we explore the communication and storytelling aspects of food by using different food ingredients and our personal experiences. With the guidance of a chef and designers, participants create their own edible masterpieces by experimenting with shapes, colours, textures, flavours etc.

EDIBLE / TYPE – FOOD DESIGN WORKSHOP
In the EDIBLE / TYPE food design workshop we explore the connection between visual communication and food with special emphasis on typography. We will use food ingredients to do typographic explorations. By combining lyrical qualities and taste of the ingredients with typographic forms and characteristics we will find new ways to experience typography. With the guidance of a chef and designers, participants create their own edible typographic explorations by experimenting with ingredients, flavours, shapers, colours, textures etc. Previous design experience with typography is not required but some knowledge on typography will be helpful.
