Excitation of a grounded lossy dielectric slab by an external complex source point beam

    Abstract

    A lossy grounded dielectric slab is excited by an external E-polarized two-dimensional (2-D) beam generated by a complex-source-point (CSP) feed. The electromagnetic boundary value problem is solved analytically in the Fourier-transform domain. Associated wave scattering and absorption phenomena are investigated. Numerical results illustrate the fields variations versus the characteristics of the CSP beam.
