Mozart’s Don Giovanni is the starting point for the performance, while some additional music was composed to relate the opera to the performers’ individual input and the team work on dramaturgy. There is not only one Don Giovanni, but a play on seduction and body relations. The performers are presented as historical haute couture characters with perfectly fit attire and makeup, who transform on stage. The audience comes in and the whole group is in full baroque costume, but they start very privately and tell stories from their own lives. From a flawlessly detached image they transform into themselves; the story of Don Giovanni intersects with the embodied memory of the performers’ personal experiences.
