Abstract

This article investigates an experimental pattern cutting workshop. In the workshop, participants are invited to explore personal experiences as the informant to a research-based process. The produced outcomes present experimental design approaches, open to successful encounters but also to failure, chance and disruptions. The interpretation of collected data brings forth understanding of the roles played by expectations in pattern cutting activity.
