Abstract

The results of the experimental research of the δ-electrons yield from the thin aluminum foil are presented. The thickness range of the aluminum foils is 8 . . . 100 μm. The energy of primary electrons varies from 2.5 to 30 MeV. The values of the average cross section for δ-electron production (generation and emission) from aluminum were obtained. It has been established that for 8 μm Al foil it is about 8.17 · 10-23 cm2. Finally, comparisons of the obtained results with the calculated ones are discussed.
