Abstract

A transdisciplinary course Crystal Flowers in Halls of Mirrors: Mathematics meets Art and Architecture was established in 2013 at Aalto University to reveal contemporary mathematics to diverse university students from freshmen to PhD students. Especially, we wanted to address the question whether depth can be achieved at the same time as broadness in this context. After two successful implementations we have found new ways to increse interaction between mathematics and other fields
