Abstract

Advanced automation is increasingly important for network and service management in 5G networks. Properly used, automation is a powerful tool allowing human users to concentrate on high-value added tasks. Creation of automation systems have a fundamental challenge: making the human network management user trust automation, motivating active exploitation of such systems and avoid doing direct low-level configurations. We review relevant concepts from the literature and propose an algorithm for automation leveraging intent-based management.
