Abstract

A generalized lattice-gas model with moving particles to study adsorbates on solid substrate is investigated. The phase diagram of the model is found to consist of three bulk phases, which are interpreted as solid, liquid, and gas phases depending on their structural order and density. In the presence of a strong solid substrate with short-range interaction, a layering transition, the dewetting phenomenon, and the triple-point wetting are also observed.
