Composites with radially anisotropic cylinders

Abstract

This presentation contains a brief review of the electrostatic polarizability of RA circular cylinders and the quasi-dynamic homogenization of such cylinders in a square lattice. The previous results are verified using new full-wave computations modeling the square lattice of RA cylinders as a photonic crystal. In all cases the electric field is assumed to be perpendicular to the cylinder axis (TE polarization).
