We demonstrate CMOS-compatible, integrated, high energy Q-switched lasers in the eye-safe window (1.9 (j.m), with an on-chip output pulse energy of 80 nanojoules at a repetition rate of <1 MHz with single fundamental mode operation in a compact footprint.
