CLASSICSThe last show of the season is on classics - classical artists and works of art of the history of Kallio Kunsthalle, classics of the surrounding post working class neighborhood of Kallio - and just objects we’d like to hail. The first section is on “fashion”. We will show ex-president - and Kallio resident - Tarja Halonen’s baseball cap. In Finland philosophers’ underwears have lately been an object of discussion in the yellow press, so hereby we present the underwear of the country’s number 1 philosopher Juha Varto!Another hot topic is literature. We exhibit an aphorism by writer / legend of urban Kallio street theology Torsti Lehtinen - typeset on the wall! Tero Juuti will come and do his internationally successful knucklebone tattoo performance to the opening. H-A-T-E!Ultimately we focus on visual classics. Forget curating - this is ragnarök! Male dada by Seppo Renvall: a legendary object in the history of the gallery, now, at last, public - the “Saab transfer paper”! Maija Saksman presents “the squeezed ones”. And don’t miss Petri Hytönen’s hot magic lantern elves and Aarno Rankka’s “ear screw opener”. Petteri Cederberg and Henry Susiluoto will exhibit fallen figures! Kasper Strömman crossbreeds our two national animals, the Angry Birds and the Moomins by giving birth to Angry Moomins. Kaija Mäenpää has filled the table Kallio Contemporary Art Museum with meditative lyrics, accompanied with calm candles. Head Made-in-Kallio by Stig Baumgartner and little pink from Katja Tukiainen - two hot artists who work in the neighborhood! Metal classic Hongan returns to the gallery with masks and spell. Outi Sunila’s democracy finally up in the cabinet! Last but not last: urban pixels by Vilho Jokela.Libraries have once again pioneered in education. In many libraries there are dogs which you can go and read to if you are an insecure reader and you think you need training. Espoo’s Börje is already a celebrity! Kallio Kunsthalle launches the application in the art world: Art Dog Bingo, initially a Romanian street dog, will be available for a chat on contemporary art December 19 at 19:00 PM.Artists and dogs are welcome and present.Dog food and hot juice served.Daily exhibition visit inquiries from Elokolo (< 15 m left)Doors open daily 9-15Information: www.kalliokunsthalle.fiInquiries: info@kalliokunsthalle.fiAddress:Kallio KunsthalleTaidehalliToinen linja 3100530 HelsinkiFinland
