Abstract
Polyethylene, polypropylene and heavier alpha -olefins can be polymerized with Ziegler-Natta catalysts in a slurry reactor. In this paper, the variables affecting polymerization are discussed. Based on a simulation model, the effects of monomer concentration, residence time, catalyst activity, slurry concentration in reactor and catalyst deactivation rate were investigated.
