The exhibition presents the first phase of Breaking out The Silos! -research project. In its workshops, circular economy have been made visible. Circular
economy represents a solution: how the life cycle of the product can be extended and the material to be circulated in several life cycles. The first case
of the research project was a sandwich panel product produced by Ruukki Construction Ltd. The product’s life was extended via upcycling-principle.
The project breaks out the silos by combining art and engineering science perspectives.
