Research output: Artistic and non-textual formArtefactArt in coproduction

Abstract

Augmented Climbing Wall is an interactive, digitally augmented sport environment with multiple games and playful interactions implemented using computer vision and visuals projected on a real climbing wall. In 2015, ACW was installed and exhibited publicly in two climbing centers (Boulderkeskus Isatis in Helsinki, Finland, and Irti Maasta in Tampere, Finland). ACW was created by Aalto post-doc researcher Raine Kajastila (project lead, design, game programming) and professor Perttu Hämäläinen (computer vision technology, additional design).
