Abstract

Punctum gallery is excited to open the solo exhibition of Niko Luoma “Adagissimo”.

We'll be showing you new works from the artist's series ARQ/QUI and The Garden, My Garden.

Adagissimo- an extremely slow musical tempo.
For the past twenty years, Niko Luoma has been internationally recognized for his work in photographic abstraction. He creates complex images by combining multiple exposures on a single negative, using light as a raw material to build layered compositions of color and form. His unique analog process involves principles of structure and space, his photographs reflect a deep conceptual exploration of the possibilities within the medium of photography.

Niko Luoma’s works are featured in international collections, including those of the Finnish National Gallery (Helsinki, FI), Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki, FI), Danish National Museum of Photography (Copenhagen, DK), Borusan Contemporary (Istanbul, TR), and the Sir Elton John and David Furnish Collection.

At the gallery you can find the limited edition catalogue published in conjuction with the “Adagissimo” exhibition.
