A Cryopump-Operated Rotating Dilution Refrigerator

Abstract

A rotating cryostat reaching submillikelvin temperatures has been built. The design principles of the charcoal adsorption pumps are presented. The 3He circulates at liquid helium temperatures entirely. Some benefits of a cryopump-operated system are pointed out.
