Abstract
It is expected that there will be a considerable improvement in multimedia capacity by the wider channel bandwidths in the third generation systems. An alternative in the form of direct conversion receiver is available for wide-band direct sequence code division multiple access system. BiCMOS process is used for the fabrication of receiver. Analog filtering is optimal for low power because of the reduction of the sampling rate in the analog to digital conversion. Chebyshev lowpass filter forms the basis of the channel selection filtering. A 6-bit pipeline architecture is used for analog to digital converters.
