Description

Poor photostability is a major limitation of fluorescent materials, hindering progress of technological and biological applications. This project includes two top-down and three bottom-up approaches to develop ultraphotostable fluorescent markers. If successful, the proposed project will open up possibilities to follow intracellular interactions with greatly enhanced spatial resolution, track single particle movements, and in general, study processes currently inaccessible with the prevalent fluorophores.
