Project Details


The project develops efficient optimization methods for large scale polygeneration systems incorporating intermittent renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. Polygeneration is a very efficient way to produce simultaneously different commodities such as power, heat and cooling. The developed methods can be used for operating the systems better in terms of emissions, energy efficiency, costs and reliability. The methods can also for investment planning to improve the systems.
