3DSURPRISE “Multilayer food textures by advanced manufacturing technologies” is grounded on future innovations by adapting 3D printing technologies for food processing, which will create new business opportunities within the ecosystem of ingredient producers, food industry, printer manufacturers, service providers (e.g. 3D printing hardware and software companies), retail and prosumers. It will contribute to bio-economy by minimizing waste production (flexible production upon need) and using unrefined raw materials for ingredient production.
