Multi-locus transcranial magnetic stimulation

Project Details

Description

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can be used to generate local brain activation noninvasively. The dynamics of the TMS-evoked brain activity can be recorded with electroencephalography (EEG) with millisecond time resolution. Combined TMS-EEG is a powerful tool for studying effective connectivity in the brain. Within this project I will develop instrumentation for multi-locus TMS and to conduct TMS-EEG research using the developed device. The research will be carried out at the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, Aalto University, in collaboration with University of Tübingen.
