[Confidential elements removed] This project uses computational methods to study and validate several beyond state-of-the-art technologies enabled by the diffusion driven charge transport (DDCT) scheme we recently demonstrated. The results are used to justify and launch further experimental activities on developing advanced diffusion driven (DD) light emitters, solar cells, thermophotonic devices and other applications enabled by DDCT. The work will accelerate and support several ongoing experimental device demonstrations, collaborations and research consortia as well as enable new spin-off research and development programs needed to generate the critical mass for efficient development and commercialization of DDCT. Each of the focus areas of the research constitutes a new opening with outstanding societal, scientific and technological potential, leading far beyond the present state-of-the-art and enabling disruptive improvements in existing energy conversion technologies.
