Ultrafast Data Production with Broadband Photodetectors for Active Hyperspectral Space Imaging

Project Details

Description

Hyperspectral LiDARs are a major system in the portfolio of space sensing and imaging for numerous applications, such as agriculture and forestry, urban monitoring, environment monitoring and sensing, and space science and technologies. This project aims to develop high-performance integrated photodetectors and miniaturized spectrometers for ultrafast data production in active hyperspectral space imaging applications. The photodetectors and their integrated space LiDAR system that are developed in this FAST project are expected to have the potential to revolutionize the current space optical imaging applications.
