Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to valorize lignin particles for coating applications for the development of multiresistant surface coatings. In this project, we will develop this idea further for packaging – and if time allows, for textile – applications. Hence the flexibility of the coating needs to be tuned and we will also look for alternatives to the epoxy chemistry. Achieving multifunctional coatings will be focused while maximizing the sustainability of the process. Adapting the CLP surface coating for bio-based packaging and textiles is the goal of this project. The coating would expand the usage of biomaterials by enhancing the substrates' qualities while minimizing the use of harmful chemicals for textile dying and fossil-based, non-biodegradable packaging materials.
