Description

Finland one of the cold countries, facing the climate change with racing energy demands. Electrification of transportation and mobile machinery cluster are currently one of the first priorities in the world. The transition from internal combustion engines to electric and hybrid solutions is dictated by the need to consider the future of the planet. Therefore, this project aims to understand how integration of hybrid technology benefits non-road mobile machinery in cold temperatures. What is Real life performance and energy consumption in low temperatures? How hydraulic oil effected by low operation temperatures? Aims of the project are to find answers to these questions and by this to help exploiting energy efficient technology in artic environment like Scandinavia, Canada, Russia and Alaska.
